I love to crochet the Sakura pattern so it was my first go to when I wanted to make a cushion with a mandala pattern.
The pattern I used was for a market bag so I completed the full motif up to the start of the netting. I then added a full round of double crochet, then the next round was granny stitch clusters of three double crochets into the top of every third DC.
I did a total 3 rounds of granny stitch with a chain in between each cluster but without any increase.
For the back of the cushion I decided to make it plain granny stitch and followed the pattern in the second link below then simply inserted a cushion and stitched both sides together with a seam of single crochet.
I think it turned out nice and I love the variegated colour. This should also be well wearing and washable as the yarn is 100% cotton.
