Free To-Do List Spreadsheet for Task Management

I’ve created a free To-Do List spreadsheet with a dynamic calendar that shows your tasks by due date so you can see everything at a glance.

When life gets busy, it’s easy to lose track of what’s coming up. This sheet keeps all your tasks, appointments, and deadlines in one place so you stay organised and on track.

It works for work tasks, personal plans, and home jobs, and helps you clearly see what’s due, what’s done, and what’s overdue.

How It Works

Open the spreadsheet and start at the “Start Here” section. Select the year and month, and the calendar updates automatically — no need to type directly on the calendar grid.

Add your tasks in the Tasks Table. Enter the start date, due date, and select the appropriate options from the drop-down boxes for status, category, and priority. There’s space for five tasks per day, but you can extend the table if more tasks fall on the same date.

The month you select under “Start Here” is highlighted in yellow, so you can filter by colour to see only that month. Filter by orange to quickly find today’s tasks. Completed tasks grey out automatically, and overdue tasks turn red so you can see at a glance what needs attention.

Keep adding tasks as needed and flick through the months to plan ahead. The dynamic calendar updates automatically, showing all tasks that are due and their due dates.

Features

  • Automatic calendar – just pick month and year, the calendar updates automatically
  • Tasks table – enter all details in one place
  • Up to 5 tasks per day shown on calendar
  • Overdue & completed tracking – clear visual status
  • Progress summary – charts and counts for overview
  • Fully customisable – adjust colours or layout
  • Works on any device – computer, tablet, or phone
  • Simple to use – no setup needed beyond entering tasks
