You know I love getting out for walks, but sometimes the rain wins. Lucy Wyndham-Read, a well-known UK fitness trainer, has put together this 28-Day Walk Fit Challenge that’s gentle, motivating, and perfect for home — no equipment needed. All you need is comfy shoes, a bit of space, and a few minutes each day.
If you’re looking for an easy, free way to stay active indoors, this one’s good… … and did I mention, it’s completely free? No pesky sign-ups or any type of rigmarole. Just download the PDF, open it on your phone or laptop, and click each green arrow to watch the videos. You can even print it and tick off your steps if you like.
What about you? How do you stay active indoors — do you follow any online programs, or just head outside when you can?

How it works
Lucy’s 28-day plan includes:
- Six indoor walking workouts each week — every one is different, so it never gets boring
- One standing core workout each week to strengthen your abs and improve balance
Each session lasts between 8 and 25 minutes, and Lucy’s calm, encouraging voice helps you stay on track. It’s suitable for all ages and fitness levels — especially if you prefer low-impact exercise.

- Wear comfortable shoes or go barefoot if you’re on carpet.
- Keep a glass of water nearby.

Why I like it
Lucy’s workouts are short, low-impact, and easy to fit into your routine. She explains everything clearly and makes you feel supported — it’s like having a cheerful coach walking beside you.
This 28-day challenge is a great way to boost fitness, balance, and confidence, especially on days when it’s too chilly or wet to go outside.
