Easy Turmeric Latte (Golden Milk) – Anti-Inflammatory & Delicious

It’s Monday and what better way to start the week than with a healthy turmeric latte. I do tend to get coffee-ed out during the week and now and again I like to take a break, just for a while… to let the jitters and cravings subside!!

This is my all time favourite recipe from Annabel Langbein and it makes up 2 cups of base so you can keep it nicely stored in a jar in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.

A warm, soothing base for golden turmeric lattes, made with ginger, honey, and spices. Make ahead and store in the fridge for easy lattes anytime.

Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp finely grated fresh ginger
  • 2 Tbsp honey
  • 1 Tbsp cinnamon
  • 4 tsp turmeric
  • ½ tsp ground black pepper
  • 2 cups water
  • Milk or nut milk, to serve

Directions

  1. Simmer: Combine all ingredients (except the milk) in a small saucepan.
  2. Cook: Bring to the boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes.
  3. Store: Let cool slightly, then pour into a jar or bottle. Refrigerate until ready to use.
  4. Serve: To make a latte, warm ¼ cup of the base with 1 cup of frothed milk. Stir and enjoy!

    Tips:
  • Shake or stir the base well before using, as spices may settle.
  • Try with oat, almond, or coconut milk for a dairy-free version.
  • You can adjust the sweetness to taste when heating.
