While crocheting these baby bouncers I tried several different methods and found the one below to be the most preferable.

However, I made a slight change- to start off use 2 chain then 6sc into the first chain… I can’t quite handle the magic ring and I always pull it too tight and it doesn’t look so nice.
Because this is crocheted in a spiral be sure to mark the last stitch of each row.
I used the invisible method to decrease. For this just the front loops of 2 stitches are pulled up and crocheted together in sc.
For the ending I prefer to stop at the end of Row 22 and tie off then sew all around as it seems to make a neater circular finish, see link to finishing video below.
My next challenge will be to follow the pattern here for a beach ball… looks complicated but fun!
