Crochet Blooming Placemat | Doily | Easy Pattern

I made this doily while on holiday in Malaysia as a gift but wouldn’t you know it… I got to within 6″ of the end of the final row and ran out of yarn. It was only when I reached home a couple of weeks ago that I started the search for a match. Unfortunately, not sure why, I couldn’t find another ball just exactly the same so I frogged the last row and croched it back again in a solid block purple.

Slightly disappointed.

Not sure, I think I like it… well anything purple is pretty good to me.

Pattern from Round and Round the Crochet Hook by Emily Littlefair. I used a variegated purple colour with soft sprinkling of pink, from Lily Sugar‘n Cream, cotton in 10 ply yarn.
