Turmeric Latte

It’s Monday and what better way to start the week than with a healthy turmeric latte. I do tend to get coffee-ed out during the week and now and again I like to take a break, just for a while… to let the jitters and cravings subside!!

This is my all time fave recipe and it makes up 2 cups of base so you can keep it nicely stored in a jar in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp finely grated fresh ginger
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon
  • 4 tsp turmeric
  • 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
  • 2 cups water
  • milk or nut milk to serve

Method

Make the base first by combining all the ingredients, except the milk, in a small pot.

Bring to the boil and simmer for 5 minutes.

If you are not using it immediately transfer to a jar and store in the fridge.

To make the latte, use 1/4 cup of the base and 1 cup of frothy milk per person.
